File Upload Guidelines

Recommended Software

• Adobe Photoshop: save as PSD or PDF
• Adobe Illustrator: save as AI or PDF
• Canva: save as a print PDF with the colour mode set to CMYK (note: CMYK PDF is a paid feature)

• The file colour mode must be CMYK; RGB or other modes are not accepted
• Set the resolution to 300-350 DPI; for small text or fine patterns, increase it to 1200 DPI

• The file must include a 3mm bleed
• Design at the correct finished size and use it as the outer frame; the file name must state the size
• Do not add crop marks; Printing Banana will cut according to the submitted size

• All text must be outlined (converted to outlines)
• Remove stray text specks or extra layers; place all print content on the same layer
• Do not lock objects or layers, to avoid affecting printing

• Font size must not be smaller than 6pt
• Line thickness must not be thinner than 0.2mm

• Colour-block values must not be lower than 8% (too light may fail to print)
• The total colour value must not exceed 250%, to avoid set-off or ghosting problems
• Do not use four-colour black (a mix of C, M, Y and K black)

• Illustrator files must embed all images and links; if links are used, please upload the image files as well
• Photoshop files must be flattened before saving as PSD

• Colours shown on screen or on inkjet proofs cannot serve as an accurate colour sample for printing
• Gang-run printing may have a 10-15% colour variance; those with strict colour requirements should choose dedicated-plate printing
